Bronze age copper alloy side-looped socketed spearhead, dating to the Middle Bronze Age (c. 1500-1150BC) Length: 153 mm; Width: 17mm; Thickness: 17mm; Weight: 105g. The object is in good condition, with patches of damage and corrosion. It has a 'leaf' shaped blade, sub triangular with rounded lower edges which is over half the length of the object.. The lower shaft has fine semi-circular shaped loops, one on each side which are finely cast and sit very close to the body.

Please note: The shaft has been made solid by ourselves as the walls of the shaft were very thin which made casting examples extremely difficult.
