This cufflink contains shows both sides of a Robert The Bruce Hammered penny. One side is on one cuff link and the other side is showing on the other. Both cuff links contain a full coin glued stongly onto the cufflink. Here's the description of the Robert The Bruce coin that is on this cuff link ...

This cuff link contains a reproduction penny of Robert the Bruce Penny 1306-1329 AD

Despite coming to the throne in 1306 Robert The Bruce did not mint any coins until late in 1319 and then only for 10 years. No privy marks are noted but it is likely that all were struck in Berwick on Tweed after its capture. All nominations i.e. penny, halfpenny and farthing are classed as rare.

The Obverse legend reads: ROBERTVS:DEL:GRAI (Robert by the Grace of God)
The Reverse Legend reads: +SCOTOREV REX meant to be (King of the Scots)
