This Guilder or Florin is made from a product called NuGold which is a alloy of 85% copper and 15% zinc and its appearance is very good.
This reproduction represents a coin made by Charles the 1st (1467-1477) who was Duke of Burgundy, Brabant and Limbourg. The original was minted in Antwerp.
The obverse shows a full length figure of Saint Andrew, facing forward holding his cross with the legend SANCTVS ANDREAS
The reverse features a long cross pattee intersecting the legend, a shield of Burgundy-Brabant is in the middle. Legend ends with a hand (Antwerp mintmark). The legend reads KAROL DX BG BRAB Z LI the legend is punctuated by double annelets or other features.
