VI at side of bust
Translation: James by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland
Reverse: Quartered shield of arms below date within inner beaded circle, legend around, mintmark at 12 o'clock but not visible because of clipping.
Lettering: QUAE·DEVS·CONIVNXIT·NEMO·SEPARET but not visible all because of clipping.
Translation: What God hath joined let no man put asunder
