Kings of Mercia. AR Penny, Canterbury mint, struck early 800’s. Coenwulf, 796-821 AD. Cross and Wedges issue; Portrait type. Eaba, moneyer. Diademed and draped bust right; + COENVVLF REX M around.

Reverse: Cross pommee with wedge in each angle;+ EABA MONETA around. Crisp, clean strike on excellent metal, on a full flan. A beautiful coin which we are producing as a slightly thicker than original example.
