This coin is as Seaby 262, Mack 388 or Van Arsdell 1105. This coin was minted by the Dobunni tribe which ranged across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. It was minted between 30 BC - 10 AD.

Our coin shows a branched emblem on a plain field. The reverse shows a disjointed horse facing right, the words EISV above, a six-spoked wheel below.

These gold staters are very rare and are not seen often, only 21 are recorded on the Celtic Coin Index and 15 of these are in museums.
