Circular bronze seal with a diameter of 24 mm. There is a loop and ridge at the back.
This seal appears to be a personal seal in the style of the late 14th to 15th century, maybe belonging to a knight, a petty official or a merchant etc, who had the right to bear arms.
Seal of Maurice Brun. This is one of our best seals. It is dated to circa 1300-30 and the seal measures 24mm across. It has been described thus – “Within a cusped frame of eight points a shield: a cross recercelee on a canton six mascles conjoined. “ +. S . MAURICHS BRUN. “Lombardic Capitals).
