This is a silver unit measuring 13mm minted by the Trinovantes tribe between 30-25 BC. It shows a chubby-cheeked head right with ‘broken’nose, four-dot ear and crescent hair, flower in front with elliptical petals. The reverse shows a spirited horse galloping left, with beaded mane and annulet on chest, V-sign motif above, six petal (?) flower below, ring under tail.

VA 1663-1, not in Mack or Seaby. Good VF, with great head and described as being excessively rare.
